Week beginning 14th September 2015

Activities this week have been based around our focus book ‘Noah’s Ark’.

Year 1 have been retelling the story and have produced some sentences based on their favourite part of the story. Reception have enjoyed retelling the story using our small world animals.

This week Reception have begun Phonics sessions. This is where we learn our letters and sounds. We have learned ‘s’ and ‘a’ this week. Can you practise writing these at home? What things can you see / think of that begin with these sounds?

In Maths we have been focusing on the number 2. Year 1’s have been counting in 2’s and Reception have been learning to recognise 2p coins.
