I usually teach in Year 3 & 4, with one morning per week with Year 5 & 6 and teaching dedicated I.C.T. to each Key Stage 2 year group in turn one afternoon per week. I believe that the integrated use of specialist teaching enhances the primary school.

I am the school's leading teacher for I.C.T., having written the school's I.C.T. policy, Internet Policy and safety guidelines and having conducted a full I.C.T. Audit in March 2007. I set up and maintained the school's last web site and this site, live in April 2007, is designed for more active teaching use and to facilitate contributions from other staff, children, P.T.A. and governors.

As a graduate in Biology and Education, I have a particular interest in the teaching of Science and in research-based education. I hold an M.A. in Primary Education from the University of York and my dissertation was on my research into Learning Styles. I am qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher, having run city wide projects in Thinking Skills and Transition to Key Stage 3 and am a Mentor for trainee teachers with York St. John University.

I am always interested to hear from colleagues who share my research interests and who wish to share or develop resources or to build professional links.
